Interface simulatorfor earth observationsatellite Jason-CS

The challenge

RST Rostock System-Technik developed and integrated special check-out equipment (SCOE) for the earth observation satellite Jason-CS, which, as a Platform Interface Simulator Assembly (PISA), enables the simulation of various of the satellite’s sub-systems during the verification phase.

The solution

RST developed, manufactured, qualified and certified the SCOE in accordance with ECSS space standards. Here, the major components were the power supply, rack monitoring, realisation of the auto-test function, the user interface, the electrical interface, data communication via MILBus and the provision of a transport container.
