Qatar Airways, the national Qatar airline, with its headquarters in Doha, operates one of the largest training centres in the Middle East. The airline places special attention to realistic training for its crews, with true to the original reproductions of the respective aircraft. RST Rostock System-Technik has been a partner of Qatar Airways for several years and has also supported the airline in its role as a launch customer for the A350 with training equipment. In total, the airline has ordered door trainers for the Airbus aircraft models A320, A330, A350 and A380 as well as for the Boeing model 777, among others. The modern RST door trainers are used for training aircraft crew in order to be able to train important operational procedures - from passenger service to emergency evacuation.

RST developed the simulators customised to Qatar Airways’ specific needs. As training operations are designed for "24/7” use, the training systems were developed taking special use and maintenance conditions into account. The precise replication of airline-specific details in cabin equipment and the use of original components with original and training functionality rounded the training concept off.
