Thermal control systemfor a nationalsatellite programme

RST Rostock System-Technik developed and integrated special check-out equipment (SCOE) for a national satellite programme for the verification and validation of the thermal control system. The SCOE’s major task is the emulation of the thermistors and heating circuits as well as the provision of a temperature simulation as input for the AIV simulator. This development was made for OHB.

RST developed, manufactured, qualified and certified the SCOE in accordance with ECSS space standards. In addition to the standard components such as electricity supply, data communication and auto-test, the focus here was placed on the emulation and the measurement method for the thermistors, the heaters and the thrusters. Also, the development of latching current limiters (LCLs) required special attention.
