ESA-Earth observationprogramme Copernicus:transport container
The challenge
RST Rostock-System Technik was responsible for various mechanical ground support equipment (MGSE) within the Sentinel-5 mission. RST manufactured and supplied a transport container for the “Near Infrared Spectrometer Optics” (NIRSO), which was developed by Jena-Optronik and will provide atmospheric observation information on board the meteorological "Metop-SG Satellite A”.

The solution
The ISO5 container developed for this purpose on behalf of Jena-Optronik ensures that the sensitive optical instrument can be stored as well as transported, furthermore be mechanically and atmospherically protected whilst adhering to the strictest purity requirements.
