Propulsion simulator SCOEfor a nationalsatellite programme

The challenge

RST Rostock System-Technik developed and integrated special check-out equipment (SCOE) for a national satellite programme. The SCOE serves as a propulsion simulator which simulates the satellite’s drive system functions, thus enabling the functional verification of the relevant components. This development was made for OHB.

The solution

RST developed, qualified and certified the SCOE in accordance with ECSS space standards. Here, the major components were the electricity supply, rack monitoring, realisation of the auto-test function, the user interface, data communication via MILBus as well as the provision of a transport container.
