RST Rostock System-Technik has been a cross-sectoral specialist for the development and manufacturing of individually adapted test systems for more than 30 years.

Our products are used to accompany development, within the scope of qualification and approval and for output tests or electronic, mechatronic and software products. A higher automation level significantly minimises error scenarios and achieves high reproduction rates.

The expansion of e-mobility is accompanied by a significantly increasing need for communication as well as high demands on communication speeds in vehicle control systems. Against the backdrop of these developments, RST Rostock System-Technik conducted a feasibility study on behalf of a well-known company from the automotive industry. The aim was to verify demanding, functional communication requirements for the existing system architecture and identify corresponding system limits.

Test bench for radial plain bearings for ships’ shaft drives

RST Rostock System-Technik developed a test bench for the development of radial plain bearings for ships’ shaft drives, which were to be lubricated by seawater instead of oil or grease. The test bench enables the use of purified seawater with any media and sediment in order to simulate highly-varied ambient conditions. This development was made for SKF Marine.

Test bench for electrical parameters for thermal spraying

Within the scope of a project sponsored by the Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft [German Research Foundation] (DFG), RST Rostock System-Technik developed a test bench for the RWTH [Rhineland-Westphalian Technical College] Aachen. Based on the examination of coated material samples, the test bench enables the determination of electrical parameters within the scope of thermal spraying of surface coatings of components.

GSE for SARah satellite programme

Airbus Defence and Space supplies a radar satellite assembled in Friedrichshafen for SARah, the new reconaissance system of the German Armed Forces. Thermal control system for a national satellite programme

RST Rostock System-Technik developed and integrated special check-out equipment (SCOE) for a national satellite programme for the verification and validation of the thermal control system. The SCOE’s major task is the emulation of the thermistors and heating circuits as well as the provision of a temperature simulation as input for the AIV simulator. This development was made for OHB.

Jena-Optronik

ESA earth observation programme Copernicus: harness for Sentinel 5

RST Rostock System-Technik took over the manufacturing and integration of the wire harness for the ”Near Infrared Spectrometer Optics“ (NIRSO) thermal control system. NIRSO will provide atmospheric observation information on-board the meteorological "Metop-SG Satellite A” as part of Sentinel 5. The integration took place for Jena-Optronik.
