Modern trainingsystems for KLM

The challenge

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, the Dutch national airline, banks on RST Rostock System-Technik’s far-reaching cabin competences: the airline expanded its Schiphol training centre, adding further door trainers for Airbus aircraft model A330 and Boeing model 777 to its training range. In addition to “hands-on” training, a virtual solution for emergency (virtual) slide training is used. The modern RST door trainers are used for training aircraft crew in order to be able to train important operational procedures - from passenger service to emergency evacuation.

The solution

Drawing on the established standard trainers for the A330 and B777, the operation, training and maintenance concept for the simulators was specifically tailored to KLM’s needs. Here, “immersive” integration of the virtual slide into the overall simulation concept played a decisive role. RST has more than 20 years’ international experience in the area of training systems for cabin crew – a solid basis for high quality and individual, customised implementation.
